City : Kolding
Start date: 24-04-2018
End date: 27-04-2018

Dear SPACE members,

I have the privilege to invite you to the SPACE conference, which will be held in Kolding from April 24 till 26th April 2018.

As the President of the IBA International Business Academy, it is a great honour to host this event of the SPACE network of higher education institutions.

The conference theme “Fostering social impact by linking HEI research to entrepreneurship” is very much in line with IBAs approach to stimulate entrepreneurial synergies, while functioning as an integrated knowledge partner in the local public and business environment.

We are open for new ideas and experiences within this field and we are looking forward to discuss our approach with you.

IBA has been a member of the SPACE community for several years now and through this international network, we have found both inspiration and project partners. The SPACE Conference settings offers you great opportunities to connect with new people and to gain insight and update your knowledge in different areas, through meetings with colleagues, researchers and keynote speakers.

So please join the conference, build new relations and enjoy your visit in Kolding and the Region of Southern Denmark.

Best regards,

Niels Egelund

R&I at UAS – a reflection on challenges, opportunities, difficulties and threats

Research and Innovation are, more and more, important issues for UAS in Europe. Demanded by society, and particularly by the world of work, R&I is a major subject for European Commission reflected in various programs supported by EC. Linking research and innovation with the learning and teaching process (education) is also in the agenda, being a matter of particular attention for European HE organizations as EURASHE and a significant work should be done by UAS in the near future.

A reflection on all of this, highlighting the challenges and opportunities and also the threats and difficulties, will be done, trying to stimulate, particularly, the critical thinking of the audience.

Workshop: Strengthen Your Strengths: Learn about, Present and Feel Confident about Your Strengths

Motivation for this workshop:
When you ask your students or team members what their strengths are, can they name them? Are they confident when presenting their strengths? I noticed that students tend to struggle when asked to talk about their strengths and give examples to demonstrate them. When you, however, enter the business world as a young entrepreneur or graduate, you need to be sure of your strengths because the road to success is bumpy and might shake your confidence.

Workshop content:

  • Strategies to build strengths clusters
  • Techniques to demonstrate your strengths in a convincing manner
  • How to create a profile statement
  • How to incorporate your strengths into a visually appealing CV

Who is this workshop for?

  • Everyone who wants to learn more about their strengths
  • Teachers, team leaders and coaches who want to help their team members learn more about their strengths

Please take a computer / tablet to this workshop because we will use online tools. Thank you.
